NOTE:  All directions to away fields assume a starting point of the intersection of routes 66 and 380 in Washington Township.

Directions to Vandergrift’s Major/Minor/Softball Fields (Kennedy Park):

Follow route 66 north to the junction of routes 66 and 356.  Bear right on route 66 and proceed about 1 ½ miles to the intersection of alternate route 66 (Hancock Ave.) Turn left onto Hancock Avenue. (a BP gas station is on the corner.) Proceed on Hancock Avenue about 2 ½ miles (Hancock Avenue winds through Oklahoma and over the hill into Vandergrift.) At the first light in Vandergrift, turn left onto Walnut Street (a Citgo gas station is on the left.) Proceed one block to Jackson Street (Kennedy Park’s playground is in front of you.  Proceed another ½ block and turn right on the alley next to the minor field.   Parking is available on this alley, and the three fields, in order, as you proceed down the alley, are the minor, major, and softball fields.

Directions to Allegheny Township’s Zimmerman Fields:

Follow route 66 north to the junction of routes 66 and 356.  Bear left on route 356 and proceed all the way past Giant Eagle to the light. Turn right at the light (Towne Center Drive.) and then left at the light onto route 56 West.  Make the first right off of route 56 onto School Road.  Make immediate right onto the driveway for the Allegheny Township community building and proceed up the hill to the parking lot.  Both Zimmerman fields are behind the community building.

Directions to Allegheny Township’s Northmoreland 4 Field:

Follow route 66 north to the junction of routes 66 and 356.  Bear left on route 356 and proceed about 2 miles until the entrance to Northmoreland Park (Park Road.)  Make a left onto Park Road and proceed up the hill into the Park.  At the stop sign in the park, turn right and proceed down the hill until you see the lake in front of you.  Before you get to the stop sign, turn right (a sign will indicate ball fields) onto Air Shaft Road.  Go partway up the hill and turn left into the parking lot for Northmoreland 4.

Directions to Leechburg’s Pool Fields:

Follow route 66 north to the junction of routes 66 and 356.  Bear left on route 356 and proceed all the way past Giant Eagle to the light.  Turn right at the light (Towne Center Drive.) Then, left at the light onto route 56 west.  Follow route 56 about 1 mile to the next traffic light, and make a right onto Leechburg Hill Road.  Follow LHR about 1 mile down the hill and across the bridge into Leechburg (stay in the left lane of the bridge) proceed straight and bear slight left (at the Allegheny Metal Federal Credit Union.) Continue straight up the hill about 2 miles.  Make left (just past the church) onto the Leechburg Area Pool Road. Follow road about ½ mile until you reach the pool.  Ballfields are located to the left of the pool and behind.

Directions to Apollo’s Pool Field:

Follow route 66 north to the junction of routes 66 and 356.  Bear right on route 66 and proceed about 2 ½ miles, crossing the bridge into Apollo by Naser Foods.  At the light at the end of the Apollo bridge, proceed straight (route 56 east) and go up the hill about ½ mile.  Opposite the Ford dealership (on the right) and just past the Apollo-Ridge football stadium (on the left) make left into the parking lot.  Field is on your left across from the pool.

Directions to Apollo’s Sunnyside Field:

Follow route 66 north to the junction of routes 66 and 356.  Bear right on route 66 and proceed about 2 ½ miles, crossing the bridge into Apollo by Naser Foods.  At the light on the Apollo end of the bridge, proceed straight (route 56 east) and go up the hill and travel on route 56 east about 5 miles.  Sunnyside field is on the left side of the road behind Sunnyside Elementary School.

Directions to Bell-Avonmore Fields:

Avonmore Lower Field/ National Roll
Take route 380 to route 819 toward Bell Township.  At stop sign, turn left on route 819.  Go straight on route 819, it will become route 981.  Follow route 981 to route 156.  Make a left onto route 156 going into Avonmore. Follow route 156. You will make a sharp right turn along Westmoreland Ave. (This is still route 156) 3 blocks after sharp right turn, look for baseball field on the left.

Avonmore Upper Fields
Take route 380 to route 819 toward Bell Township. Make a left when you run into route 981. Follow route 981 to route 156. Make a left onto route 156 going into Avonmore. Follow route 156. Make a sharp right turn along Westmoreland Ave. (This is still route 156) Continue on Westmoreland/Route 156 to 6th Avenue. Turn right onto 6th Avenue and follow to the end. You will see the fields on the left.
